Welcome to a better desktop!
This guide will briefly explain the most basic features and how to use this software. This guide can be viewed at any time from the Help menu.
The idea is to get you started quickly, so go ahead and
drag and drop a picture into the application,
then press Apply button.
You should see the picture show up on you actual background wallpaper.
• Press + and - buttons in the upper repeatedly to change picture size.
• Drag the picture around the display
• Press Apply again to see changes take effect on the actual desktop.
• Saving Layouts: press Save Layout to name and save the current layout. You can create and load as many layouts as desired.
Drag-and-drop any number of photos.
• Resizing pictures: click on the mini-toolbar at the top of a picture, and choose Resize option form the popup menu.
• Removing pictures: click on the mini-toolbar at the top of a picture and choose a Remove option. More about the icon in the system tray.
The program will place an icon in your icon tray (lower right part of the screen next to the clock) for quick access to the main functions of the software. For instance, quickly pausing or resuming wallpaper operations, force update on all the slideshows, see time left to the next update, etc.

This is the most basic use of My Better Desktop: ability to quickly and easily place photos on your wallpaper. However, this software can do a lot more. Browse the menu on the left to learn more about:

Hint: Drag-and-drop a folder containing pictures, then a slideshow will be automatically created. slideshows are pictures that change what they show at regular intervals like a slide show.
