A layout, also known as wallpaper layout, often refered to as simply a wallpaper is the current setup of your desktop background including all slideshows, rotation parameters, and settings.

Layouts can be saved as My Better Desktop Wallpaper (.dtw) file, which then can be shared with friends of family. When another person uses your dtw file, they can have the same photo backgrounds, with all its slideshows, webcams, etc. They can, however, modify the wallpaper to suit their needs by adding more pictures, channel, or changing layout parameters.

To create a dtw file, set up your wallpaper the way you like and then, from the main menu, choose
File --> Export layout.

This is a great way to share photos, because if your layout happens to contain a photo album, they will see the photos currently in the album, and all photos that will be added later on.

A layout file contains the following parameters:

• background image rotation settings
• all dynamic content such as slideshows
• For security and privacy reasons .dtw files DO NOT contain your local pictures and folders on your computer.
